This charming series is now into its third book about Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec and his investigations in the small Southern Quebec hamlet of Three Pines. (The most recent is I Shall Not Want, and it does not disappoint!) Try these authors for a similar feel: Mysteries: You’ve read Julia Spencer-Fleming’s Claire Ferguson/Russ Van Alstyne series beginning with IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER.
